Pasture, woodland, and the Appalachian Trail at the foot of the Blue Ridge.
About the Area
Sky Meadows State Park rises along the eastern slope of the Blue Ridge in Paris, Virginia — 1,860 acres of restored 19th-century farmland, forest, and pasture protected by the Commonwealth in 1975. Direct access to the Appalachian Trail, a working pasture program, a historic 1840s Mount Bleak farmhouse, dark-sky stargazing nights, and more than 20 miles of marked hiking, equestrian, and mountain-bike trails make it the most-visited day-use park in northern Virginia.
